Lab Tests

Lab testing helps us get a deeper look into your body. Tests including urine analysis and blood work are essential for a complete medical assessment. Lab testing, like our other services are not covered by OHIP.

Assessment or Diagnostic Tests used at Touchstone Naturopathic Centre

Standardized Diagnostic Tests

Labs used: Gamma Dyncare Labs, Life Labs or CML Labs.

Examples: CBC (Complete blood count w/ differential white blood cell count), electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride), liver function (AST, ALT, GGT, Alk Phos, Bilirubin), kidney function (creatinine, eGFR), Thyroid function (TSH, free T4 & T3), Hormonal levels (Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA), Cholesterol (total, HDL, LDL, triglyerides), blood sugar (fasting or random), HbA1C, and many others

Food Sensitivity or Allergy panels

Labs used: Great Plains Laboratory, Rocky Mountain Analytical or Gamma Dynacare or others by request.

Examples: IgE, IgG and/or IgA panels of 96+ foods; individual foods tested in small groups by Gamma Dynacare or Stero-Chrome Analytical Labs.

Electrodermal Dermal Screening

Avatar testing is conducted by Dr. Clack or Natalie Rogers. This testing option aids with assessing allergies, food reactions, and general health assessments.

In-house lab testing will be introduced in the Spring of 2015 (details to follow).
